- The author registers the article in the journal's system, including completing the author(s) details, uploading the article in the format requested by the journal, and submitting the commitment form and conflict of interest form.
- The executive director of the journal reviews the article and returns it to the author for addressing deficiencies and making the necessary structural revisions (if any).
- The article is checked for similarity with other published articles to determine the extent of overlap with other writings.
- The journal's editor-in-chief provides feedback on the article and, if necessary, refers it to a specialized editor.
- The article is sent to three expert reviewers specializing in the subject matter of the article.
- The article is reviewed by the reviewers, and their feedback, along with the completed evaluation forms, is submitted to the editor-in-chief regarding the quality and content of the article.
- At this stage, three possible cases may occur:
a) If the article is rejected by two reviewers, it will be removed from the journal review process, and the author(s) will be informed.
b) If major or minor revisions are requested by the reviewers (at least two reviewers), the article will be sent to the author(s) for revision and corrections.
c) If the reviewers fail to complete their review within the designated time frame, the article will be assigned to new reviewers. - The revised article is resubmitted by the author(s), along with a file addressing the reviewers' questions, comments, and suggestions (within a maximum of two weeks).
- The revised article is sent to the final reviewer for re-evaluation.
- The reviewers provide their final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the article.
- The review process is approved by the journal's editorial board.
- In the case of rejection, the author(s) will be informed. If the article is accepted, it proceeds to the next stage.
Authors of accepted articles must pay four million rials as editing and publication fees to the account specified on the journal's website. The Encyclopedia of Economic Law journal does not receive any charge for the initial review of articles.
The waiting period for article publication depends on the number of approved articles in the journal and the conditions outlined in the regulations of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
It is noteworthy that the article review process follows a double-blind review method. Throughout all review stages, neither the author(s) will be aware of the reviewers' identities, nor will the reviewers know the name(s) of the author(s)’ article.
The average time for an initial review is less than three days, and the average time for completing the entire review process ranges between four to five months.
